In dit nieuwe verhaal trekt Paddington naar Peru om er zijn geliefde tante Lucy te bezoeken, die er in een rusthuis voor gepensioneerde beren verblijft. Samen met de familie Brown gaan ze op zoek naar een mysterie dat hen op een onverwachte reis door het Amazone-regenwoud en naar de hoogste bergtoppen van Peru brengt.
